Dad is sitting up in a chair now. They are going to try and have him sit for an hour if he can stand it. He said he hates the bed. He is sitting well right now and not trying to get up. He wants a Mountain Dew! He seems to be getting sleepier right now. Dr. Anderson, his neurosurgeon, came by to see him and said that he was looking good. They are keeping a close eye on the stomach and monitoring him frequently. Today is the best day so far! I will keep you posted. Just know that today is an exciting day for all of us! Thanks for the prayers, they are working!
He said not to leave him with a specific nurse. He called her a death nurse. I think he just associates her with when he was sick.
I'm going to read him some of your comments now.
Love,
Cejae

ReplyDeleteCejae and Cath, Wish I had known earlier that Jason and Tim were coming - I would have sent a pot of chicken and dumplings - just like your mom, always wanting to feed people! So glad today is a better day - I will keep praying. Love you both, Denita.
ReplyDeleteThank you sharing the great news gal! Last night before the fgbc business meeting we had prayer for John....& it brought a smile to my face....I remember last July sitting in the General Baptist business session at the Centre in Evansville...thinking...oh man...this should be boring...lol...Bob Brockett & John come in & sit next to me & I told John I thought this would be a boring couple of hours....to my surprise he said "I LOVE business meetings! They are so interesting"...haha....only John would say that! We continue to rejoice at the progress being made....just think of the THOUSANDS of prayers that have been lifted for you guys....& thousands more to come....we pray not only for John & family...but also for the Doctors & nurses & technicians....that every person that touches John does the best job they have ever done in their life...so we can get our dear friend back in Hamilton County where he belongs! We love you guys Cejae....give Cathy a hug from us....we pray without ceasing for you all!
ReplyDeleteBlessings!
