Dad had his CT scan about 5 this morning and hopefully we will get results when we go in this morning. He didn't sleep well his nurse said. They tried to feed him through the tube a couple of times but he got sick so they are maybe going to try something else.Dad says he thinks the morphine makes him sick so his nurse is going to see if they can give him something else instead. He is stable and has good reasoning and memory skills it seems like.
My brother and sister-in-law are going to come visit today and two of my best friends are coming to stay the weekend with me and mom.
The hospital social worker has informed us that they would like dad to get in-house rehab at a facility for two to three weeks after he is released from the hospital. This means he would stay day and night and probably receive extensive OT, PT, and speech therapy. My mom would like to keep him at Loyola for rehab if they have a bed, that way we don't have to transport him back and forth. Please pray that we make the right choice on where to take him for rehab. He doesn't seem to have a preference on where to go right now.
Mom and I got a good sleep last night so we feel much better today. Dad is in a lot of pain most of the time and we are hoping that he will feel better and heal. It makes us sad to see him in so much pain but we are hoping and praying that in the days to come he will feel much better.
