Mom and I are sitting in the ICU waiting room right now while they put in a feeding tube. We are delusional. Dad really didn't want a feeding tube, but apparently its necessary because he can't swallow well right now.
They will be taking him down to X-Ray soon to get his shoulder X-rayed. Dr. Anderson actually came in and talked to us. He was concerned about the shoulder and his low level of response. They are going to do another CT scan as well. The one at 6 a.m. showed that things were alright, but they want another just to be sure. We are planning to go back to the hotel while he gets his X-rays so we can catch up on some sleep and be refreshed for later. Dr. Anderson said that these first couple of days are going to be tough but he is hopeful that we will start seeing progress soon and that dad will feel better. We are a bit discouraged but still hopeful!
It may be awhile before the next update as we might be sleeping at the hotel, but I will update you all as soon as we hear new news.
